REFLECTION 5

During the class on Tuesday, 10 March 2015, there were actually six groups have been assigned to present their presentations of the lesson plan (Assignment 1). Only one presenter from each group was appointed to do the presentations. Each group had been given 10-15 minutes to present their assignments. However, we were running out of time and therefore, only four groups were able to finish their presentations. The first presenter was Hakim from Group 1 followed by the other three groups. After each presentation, questions will be asked from the floor regarding their lesson plan presentation. In other words, there was Question and Answer session from the other friends and our lecturer after the presenters finished their presentations. Next, the other friends and the lecturer will give their suggestions and comments for the improvement.

After that, the lecturer told us that the presentations will be continued during the next class on Thursday. During the class on 12 March 2015, Thursday, our class monitor, Islah, reminded us to be more alert about the time allocated for each presentation. She told us that she will give a knock if the time almost finished. Our group presentation was on this day and Mawaddah has presented our lesson plan assignment. Basically, we have chosen the advance level in our lesson plan and we tested on the listening skill.

We chose the IELTS websites in order for the students to do the exercises. Madam gave compliment for our group presentation as she said we were the first group to do lesson plan for the advance students while many groups before this for the beginners and intermediate students. She commented that we had a very good objectives and learning outcomes and we seem to achieve those objectives in our teaching and learning process. However, she gave suggestion that the practices in the website should include many register or jargon in the text or conversation. We were the last group to present our assignment and the remaining of three groups will be continued on the next week.
